Roll Off Dumpster Sizes

Our 10 cubic yard dumpsters can hold 10 cubic yards of debris, materials, and other waste. Our smallest dumpsters are approximately 10 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 4 feet high. However, we offer dumpsters from multiple manufacturers, and size varies between manufacturers. A 10 cubic yard dumpster is appropriate for small residential projects and minor cleanups like:
  • Cleaning out a garage or single room
  • 250 square feet deck removals
  • 1500 square feet of roof shingles (single layer)
  • Small kitchen or bathroom renovations
Eagle’s 15 yard dumpsters hold 15 cubic yards of waste. Our 15 yard roll-away containers are typically 15 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 4 feet high. A 15 cubic yard dumpster is ideal for medium-sized residential projects, including larger renovation projects or cleanups. It can hold about 5 to 6 pickup truck loads of debris, making it ideal for projects like:
  • Basement, garage, or multi-room cleanups
  • 200 to 300 square feet deck removals
  • 2000 to 2500 square feet of roof shingles (single layer)
  • Larger kitchen or bathroom renovations
Our 20 yard dumpsters hold 20 cubic yards of unwanted debris and materials. Typically, a 20 yard dumpster is 22 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 4 feet high. By renting a 20 yard dumpster, you’re avoiding approximately 10 full pickup truck trips to the landfill. Our 20 yard is our most popular size due to its versatility, value, compact footprint, and volume. Popular uses for our 20 yard dumpster include:
  • Basement, attic, garage, multi-room, and outdoor cleanups
  • Flooring and carpeting removal for large homes or businesses
  • 300 to 400 square feet deck removals
  • 2500 to 3000 square feet of roof shingle removal (single layer)
  • Multi-room renovation projects or home additions
30 yard roll-away containers hold 30 cubic yards of debris. They come with a similar length and width as our 20 yard containers, but are significantly deeper, typically sized at 22 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 6 feet high. A 30 cubic yard container is ideal for larger residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including constructions, demolitions, renovations, and other jobs:
  • Major home or business additions
  • New home constructions
  • Garage, barn, or outbuilding demolitions
  • Full home window or siding replacements
  • Full home or business roofing projects
This is our largest available dumpster size. 40 yard roll-away containers can hold 40 cubic yards of debris. The width and length dimensions are similar to our other large dumpsters, but the significantly deeper interior is better suited for larger projects. Our 40 yarders are typically 22 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 8 feet high. Our customers use 40 yard containers for large residential projects, commercial construction jobs, and industrial purposes, among other uses:
  • Window and siding replacements on very large homes
  • Commercial roofing demolitions
  • Business or office cleanups
  • New construction and major addition projects on larger homes or business
  • Any demolition, renovation, or construction project with large amounts of debris, trash, paper, cardboard, or other material

If you’re completing a small remodel or renovation, then a 10 or 15 cubic yard dumpster is a smart choice. These dumpsters are popular for projects like replacing your kitchen cabinets, renovating a small bathroom, or cleaning out an attic or basement.

Larger projects, including shingle replacements, multi-room cleanups, garage cleanups, or large-scale flooring and carpet removal, may require a 20 yard dumpster. These dumpsters offer more space, which also means you don’t have to waste as much time breaking down debris to fit into the container.

Finally, our 30 and 40 cubic yard dumpsters are suited for the largest construction and renovation projects. They also provide the best value. Our large roll-away containers are ideal for home demolition projects, commercial construction projects, and large residential renovations, among other projects.
